Amazon cuts iPad Air 13-inch M4 price by $100

Amazon cut the price of Apple’s 13-inch iPad Air with the M4 chip by $100, bringing the entry-level configuration to a record low just weeks after the tablet went on sale.

The discount applies to the base model, which launched at $799 and now lists at $699 on Amazon’s storefront.

Apple released the refreshed iPad Air lineup in early 2025, positioning the M4 chip as the key upgrade over the previous M2-powered generation. The 13-inch variant targets users who want a larger display without stepping up to the more expensive iPad Pro line.

Amazon has not publicly said how long the promotional price will remain active. Deals at this depth, this close to a product’s launch date, are uncommon for Apple hardware at major retail outlets.

The M4 chip, which Apple also uses in its current MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models, brings faster CPU and GPU performance compared to the M2 it replaced in the Air series. Apple has not released specific benchmark figures for the iPad Air variant, though the company said the M4 delivers up to 1.5 times faster performance than the M2 in general processing tasks during its product announcement.

The 13-inch iPad Air with M4 ships with 8GB of RAM and starts with 128GB of storage at the base price. Higher storage configurations carry higher list prices and are not subject to the same discount level.
